Enable Log Collection in a Project

This section introduces how to enable log collection in a project.

Note

After enabling, the Collect Logs on Volumes feature will be available on the Storage Settings tab when creating workloads and Jobs in the project.

Prerequisites

  • You should join a project and have the Project Settings Management permission within the project. For more information, refer to "Project Members" and "Project Roles".

  • WhizardTelemetry Logging should have been installed and enabled, and the log collection feature have been enabled.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Project Settings Management permission, and access your project.

  2. Click Project Settings > Log Collection in the left navigation pane.

  3. In the Collect Logs on Volumes area, click the switch to set the status to Enabled.

Note

After enabling log collection, you need to restart the existing pods to make the change take effect. For more information, see Recreate Workloads, Re-run Jobs, or Delete Pods.
