Workspace Monitoring Overview

This section introduces how to view monitoring information on the workspace overview page.

Prerequisites

  • You should join a workspace and have the Monitoring Viewing permission within the workspace. For more information, refer to "Workspace Members" and "Workspace Roles".

  • WhizardTelemetry Monitoring should have been installed and enabled.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Monitoring Viewing permission, and access your workspace.

  2. Click Overview in the left navigation pane.

    The Overview page’s Resource Usage tab provides the following information:

    AreaDescription

    Physical Resources

    The CPU and memory usage of the workspace in the specified cluster.

    Application Resource Usage

    The number of deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Jobs, CronJobs, persistent volume claims, etc., created by the workspace in the specified cluster.

    • Click timed-task in the upper right corner to set the time range.

    • Click start/pause in the upper right corner to enable/disable real-time data refresh.

    • Click refresh in the upper right corner to refresh data manually.

    • Click the Cluster dropdown list in the upper right corner to view data in a specific cluster.

  3. Click the Usage Ranking tab on the Overview page to view the resource usage of projects in the workspace.

    • Click the Cluster dropdown list at the top left of the list to view data in a specific cluster.

    • Click the dropdown list at the top of the list to select sorting by CPU usage, memory usage, pod count, outbound traffic, or inbound traffic.

    • Click sort-ascending/sort-descending above the list to sort in ascending/descending order.

    • Click Export in the upper right corner of the list to download the resource usage data in JSON format.

  4. Click the Cluster Information tab on the Overview page to view the total and used amounts of CPU, memory, and disk for clusters authorized to the workspace, as well as the total number of pods that can be created on the cluster and the number of pods already created.

    Note

    By default, each cluster node can create a maximum of 110 pods.
