View Rule Group List

This section introduces how to view the alert rule group list.

Prerequisites

  • The WhizardTelemetry Alerting extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You should join a cluster or a project and have the Rule Group Viewing permission within the cluster or the project. For more information, refer to "Cluster Roles" and "Project Roles".

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Rule Group Viewing permission and enter your cluster or project.

  2. Click Monitoring & Alerting > Rule Groups in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Rule Groups page, click Custom Rule Groups or Built-in Rule Groups to open the rule group list.

    • The rule group list provides the following information:

      ParameterDescription

      Name

      The name of the rule group.

      Rule Group Status

      Whether the rule group is currently enabled.

      Rule Status

      The status of the alert rules contained in the rule group.

      • Inactive: The monitoring metrics do not meet the preset conditions. No alerts are generated in this state.

      • Pending: The monitoring metrics meet the preset conditions but do not meet the preset duration.

      • Firing: The monitoring metrics meet the preset conditions and the preset duration.

      • Disabled: The alert rule has been disabled.

      Time Spent

      The time spent on the most recent metric check.

      Last Check

      The execution time of the most recent metric check.

    • Click the search box at the top of the list to search for rule groups by name.

    • Click refresh in the upper right corner of the list to refresh the list information.

    • Click cogwheel in the upper right corner of the list to customize the information displayed in the list.
