Reset Built-in Rule Groups

This section describes how to reset built-in rule groups.

Note
  • KubeSphere only supports resetting built-in rule groups, not custom rule groups.

  • There are no built-in rule groups in projects.

Warning

Rule groups cannot be recovered after resetting, so please proceed with caution.

Prerequisites

  • WhizardTelemetry Alerting should have been installed and enabled.

  • You should join a cluster and have the Rule Group Management permission within the cluster. For more information, refer to "Cluster Members" and "Cluster Roles".

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Rule Group Management permission and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Monitoring Alerting > Rule Groups in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Rule Groups page, click Built-in Rule Groups to open the rule group list.

  4. Click more on the right side of the rule group you need to reset, and then select Reset from the dropdown list.

  5. In the Reset Rule Group dialog, click OK.
