View Rule Group List

This section introduces how to view the alert rule group list.

Prerequisites

You should have the platform-admin role on the KubeSphere platform. For more information, see Users and Platform Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user having the platform-admin role.

  2. Click grid in the upper-right corner of the page and click Whizard Observability Center.

  3. Click Global Alerts > Built-in Rule Groups/Custom Rule Groups in the left navigation pane.

    • The rule group list provides the following information:

      ParameterDescription

      Name

The name of the rule group.

      Rule Group Status

Whether the rule group is currently enabled.

      Rule Status

The status of the alert rules contained in the rule group.

      • Inactive: The monitoring metrics do not meet the preset conditions. No alerts are generated in this state.

      • Pending: The monitoring metrics meet the preset conditions but do not meet the preset duration.

      • Firing: The monitoring metrics meet the preset conditions and the preset duration.

      • Disabled: The alert rule has been disabled.

      Cluster

The clusters using this rule group for resource monitoring.

      Last Check

The execution time of the most recent metric check.

    • Click the search box at the top of the list to search for rule groups by name.

    • Click refresh in the upper right corner of the list to refresh the list information.

    • Click cogwheel in the upper right corner of the list to customize the information displayed in the list.

Note
  • When clusters are added or removed, the cluster column in the rule group list will not be updated synchronously.

  • When a cluster is removed, rule groups that are only applicable to that cluster will not be automatically deleted.
