This section describes how to set components in the Whizard Observability Center.
Prerequisites
You should have the platform-admin role on the KubeSphere platform. For more information, see Users and Platform Roles.
Steps
Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user having the platform-admin role.
Click in the upper-right corner of the page and click Whizard Observability Center.
On the Multi-cluster Monitoring page, click on the right to enter the Component Settings page.
On the Data Access tab, set the following parameters.
Parameter Description Gateway Settings
Component Replicas: Set the number of replicas for the storage gateway component, default is 2.
Container Quotas: Set CPU request and limit, and memory request and limit.
Router
Data Retention Replicas: Set the number of replicas for the data retention component, default is 1.
Component Replicas: Set the number of replicas for the data router component, default is 2.
Container Quotas: Set CPU request and limit, and memory request and limit.
Local Storage
Local Data Storage Duration: Set the storage duration of local data. The value at least 3, and the default value is 7.
Component Replicas: Set the number of replicas for the local storage component, default is 2.
Container Quotas: Set CPU request and limit, and memory request and limit.
On the Data Query tab, set the following parameters.
Parameter Description Basic Settings
Component Replicas: Set the number of replicas for the Query component, default is 2.
Container Quotas: Set CPU request and limit, and memory request and limit.
Cache Settings
Component Replicas: Set the number of replicas for the Cache component, default is 2.
Container Quota: Set CPU request and limit, and memory request and limit.
On the Long-term Storage tab, click On to enable the long-term storage component. After enabling, you can configure the component parameters for object storage, gateway, retention period, and downsampling.
Parameter Description Object Storage
Bucket: The name of the S3 object storage bucket.
Region: The geographic region where the bucket is created.
Endpoint: The AWS S3 object storage address to connect to.
Access Key: AWS account access key ID.
Secret Key: The secret associated with the AWS Access Key ID.
Advanced Settings
HTTP Protocol: Decide whether to enable the insecure HTTP protocol.
Add Storage Class: Add user metadata for the object storage. After enabling, you need to add key-value pairs for the object storage parameters.
HTTP Configuration: Configure the HTTP client used by the receiver to communicate with HTTP-based API services.
TLS Certificate: Whether to prove your identity or indicate your access rights to online services by submitting a digital certificate.
TLS Connection
CA Certificate: The CA file used to verify the server certificate.

Key: The key file used for client certificate authentication to the server.
Server Name: The ServerName extension to indicate the server’s name.
Server Certificate Verification: Whether to prove your identity or indicate your access rights to online services by submitting a digital certificate.
Storage Gateway
Set CPU request and limit, and memory request and limit.
Compression and Downsampling
Raw Data Storage Duration: Raw data storage duration. The raw data will be deleted after the duration expires.
5m Downsampled Data Storage Duration: Specify the data storage duration for downsampling to 5-minute intervals of data points.
1h Downsampled Data Storage Duration: Specify the data storage duration for downsampling to 1-hour intervals of data points.
