Create Network Policies

This section introduces how to create network policies.

Prerequisites

  • You should join a cluster and have the Cluster Network Resource Management permission within the cluster. For more information, refer to "Cluster Members" and "Cluster Roles".

  • KubeSphere Network should have been installed and enabled.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Cluster Network Resource Management permission, and access your cluster.

  2. Click Network > Network Policies in the left navigation pane.

  3. Click Create on the page.

  4. In the Create Network Policy dialog box, set the configuration for the network policy, and then click OK.

    • Click upload-dark-white in the upper right corner to upload the configuration file.

    • Click download-dark-white in the upper right corner to download the configuration file.

    Note

KubeSphere currently does not support creating network policies in a graphical way. For specific parameters of the network policy configuration file, please refer to the Kubernetes Documentation.

After the network policy is created, it will be displayed in the network policy list.
