    Edit Volume Snapshot Content Information

    This section describes how to edit the information of a volume snapshot content.

    You can edit the alias and description of a volume snapshot content. KubeSphere does not support editing the name of a volume snapshot content.

    Prerequisites

    • KubeSphere Storage should have been installed and enabled.

    • You should join a cluster and have the Volume Snapshot Contents Management permission within the cluster. For more information, refer to "Cluster Members" and "Cluster Roles".

    Steps

    1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Volume Snapshot Contents Management permission, and access your cluster.

    2. Click Storage > Volume Snapshots in the left navigation pane.

    3. Click Volume Snapshot Content on the Volume Snapshots page to open the volume snapshot content list.

    4. Click more on the right side of the volume snapshot content you want to operate, then select Edit Information from the dropdown list.

    5. In the Edit Information dialog, set the alias and description of the volume snapshot content, then click OK.

      ParameterDescription

      Alias

      The alias of the volume snapshot content. Different volume snapshot contents can have the same alias. The alias can only contain Chinese characters, letters, numbers, and hyphens (-), must not start or end with a hyphen (-), and can be up to 63 characters long.

      Description

      The description of the volume snapshot content. The description can contain any characters and can be up to 256 characters long.
